Tracking-by-Counting: Using Network Flows on Crowd Density Maps for Tracking Multiple Targets

چکیده
State-of-the-art multi-object tracking~(MOT) methods follow the tracking-by-detection paradigm, where object trajectories are obtained by associating per-frame outputs of detectors. In crowded scenes, however, detectors often fail to obtain accurate detections due heavy occlusions and high crowd density. this paper, we propose a new MOT tracking-by-counting, tailored for scenes. Using density maps, jointly model detection, counting, tracking multiple targets as network flow program, which simultaneously finds global optimal over whole video. This is in contrast prior that either ignore thus prone errors or rely on suboptimal two-step process using heuristic density-aware point-tracks matching targets. Our approach yields promising results public benchmarks various domains including people tracking, cell fish tracking.

Beyond Counting: Comparisons of Density Maps for Crowd Analysis Tasks - Counting, Detection, and Tracking
For crowded scenes, the accuracy of object-based computer vision methods declines when the images are lowresolution and objects have severe occlusions. Taking counting methods for example, almost all the recent state-of-the-art counting methods bypass explicit detection and adopt regressionbased methods to directly count the objects of interest. Among regression-based methods, density map estim...
متن کاملTargets Tracking in the Crowd
Conventional video surveillance systems often have several shortcomings. First, target detection can’t be accurate under the light variation environment or clustering backgrounds. Second, multiple targets tracking become difficult on a crowd scene because the split/merge and occlusions among the tracked targets occur frequently and irregularly. Third, it is difficult to the partition the tracke...
متن کاملTracking Multiple Pedestrians in Crowd
In the domain of city design, the demand for the development of the visual tracking method is increasing, which provides the pedestrian paths. This paper proposes the tracking method which reduces the ambiguity of matching. When features of a pedestrian are ambiguous in the original image, the proposed method generates plural candidates for the pedestrian path. In the following frames the propo...
متن کاملConvolutional Gating Network for Object Tracking
Object tracking through multiple cameras is a popular research topic in security and surveillance systems especially when human objects are the target. However, occlusion is one of the challenging problems for the tracking process. This paper proposes a multiple-camera-based cooperative tracking method to overcome the occlusion problem. The paper presents a new model for combining convolutiona...
متن کاملMultiple ground targets tracking using negative information
Abstract: Multiple targets tracking with a GMTI is a challenging problem for the battlefield surveillance. A new algorithm is used in order to track multiple manoeuvring ground targets with road constraint. However, the case of nondetected targets due to the ground context is not tacking in account in the target tracking process. In this paper, we present our approach to track ground targets wi...
